To avoid high dealership costs, when still under warranty you can get work done elsewhere, you do however need receipts so your warranty does not get voided.

Always ask to see replaced parts. Sometimes a garage will replace a part when it does not need replacing.

Always get quotes first. A garage may start work immediately so tell them before they start to supply you with a quote and quote details... this way you could call around to other garages asking if the quote can be beat.
